  4. Meet the Hungriest Folks Around: 5 Second Interviews with the Hungry-In Hosts

    September 20, 2012 by Sid E. Serch

Have you heard the big news? Some of our beloved Citysearch scouts are starring in their own Youtube shows. They’re exploring their cities mouth first to find the best in just about everything food related. But who are these guys and why should you trust them to tell you where to eat? Well, they’re major movers and shakers with the most discerning taste buds in town. Below, you’ll find a little appetizer. Tune in to the Hungry Channel  this Friday to get to know even more.

    http://youtu.be/fc6NIMLYmag?hd=1

Let’s start with Hungry in Los Angeles Host Adrianna Adarme.

    Name: Adrianna Adarme

    Blog: A Cozy Kitchen

How Long have you lived in Los Angeles: 5 years

Favorite dish in LA: Fried Egg Rolls from Golden Deli

Best Meal You’ve ever had: The Vagrancy Project at The Allston Yacht Club

If you had a mission statement, what would it be? Faster, cuter, stronger.

Now let’s head to San Francisco where Marcia Gagliardi’s blog, Table Hopper is the be-all-end-all of Bay Area food writing.  She is like the princess and the pea of eating, seriously.

    Name: Marcia Gagliardi

    Blog: tablehopper.com

How Long have you lived in San Francisco: Since September 1994.

Favorite dish in town: Again and again, I fall in love with the pasta dishes at SPQR.

Best meal you’ve ever had: It’s the Christmas Eve fish fest (“La Vigilia”) with the Italian side of my family, every year.

If you had a mission statement, what would it be? Live enthusiastically, be curious, be friendly.

Next up to bat is the incomparable meat lover Josh Ozersky,

founder of Meatopia and man of a million food adjectives.

    Name: Josh Ozersky

    Blog: Ozersky.TV, Rachael Ray.com, Time.com

How Long have you lived in New York: 10 years

Favorite dish in town: First-cut “deckle” pastrami, with french fries and dr. brown’s black cherry soda at Katz’s.

Best Meal You’ve ever had: Meatopia 2012!

If you had a mission statement, what would it be? “The fat is the meat, and the meat is the vegetable.”

Finally we head Southwest to meet Austin’s pride and joy Tolly Moseley whose love of her city , as expressed through her culture blog, AustinEavesdropper could probably convince you to relocate in under an hour.

    Name: Tolly Moseley

    Blog: AustinEavesdropper.com

How Long have you Live in Austin: On and off for many years — but at this point, the last 5 years consecutively.

Favorite Dish in town: Smoked Bacon/Mint/Feta Brussels Sprouts from Second Bar + Kitchen.

Best Meal You’ve ever had: One time, my husband and I had a big certificate to Uchiko (Chef Paul Qui’s restaurant), and, feeling rich … my husband snapped the menu shut, and simply told the waiter, “Dazzle us.” (PS he never talks like this). We ended up spending the equivalent of our monthly mortgage that night on top of the gift certificate, but it was worth it! Tasting after tasting of beautifully-composed, non-traditional sushi rolls, like my favorite, the Tiger Cry: Cured wagyu beef, rice paper, red pepper, charred green onion. It’s not for purists, but it’s a tasty little bite.

If you had a mission statement, what would it be?  Be a better listener.

To learn more about each of these wonderful people and what they’re eating and drinking in their cities subscribe to the Hungry Channel!
